The video game film World of Warcraft is about two hours long, clocking in at 123 minutes, as per IMDB. The director Duncan Jones has now revealed that the original cut was 2 hours and 40 mins, and has explained what it will require for an extended director's cutting to be released one day.

Jones revealed the running time in an interview during an interview with The Daily Beast. He revealed that he'd planned to add some Easter-themed elements to be included in World of Warcraft that tied the movie to his previous film projects, Moon and Source Code however it was left on the cutting room floor.

"If you're familiar with Moon or Source Code, there's this very sweet, very talented man named Chesney Hawkes who wrote this really, really big hit in Britain called 'I Am the One And Only" Jones explained. "I utilized It as an alarm-clock in Moon and also as an ring tone in Source Code. I even got him to do a version as an actor as a bard in World of Warcraft ."
