Do you have a chance to talk about the structure and design of the dungeons, because there are over 100 so the natural question becomes whether it's over 100 identical appearance dungeon reconfigured? Or is it more than a hundred handcrafted dungeons that have meaningful reason to exist?
Shely: So one among the aspects that are really amazing about Diablo 4 is that, because we have this shared open world that serves as a reference point, the dungeons are actually located in the world you'll explore, and [that gives] players a feeling of place.
So , when you enter one of the dungeons you'll be able to see the tileset that's associated with that dungeon, that type of art. And we have a wide array of art to choose from. Also, you'll be able to view the creatures that inhabit it.
If the dungeon rolls it's generated randomly within these rules. The monsters will be differently designed, you'll have different champions, you're likely to see different Affixes, and you'll find a different layout of that dungeon.
In addition there is an objective in the dungeon. So when you go in, you might have an objective to take down a boss however, you could have the goal of locating three fallen idols to disable them. Also, the objective to complete for the dungeon is different to each dungeon as well.
Fergusson: It's what the dungeons of Diablo is that idea of them being procedurally generated where each visit is a completely different experience. One thing I like about playing play is that you go in and you don't know the goal. There's not some magical person on the other side of the door who can tell you the story.
