There are two obstacles in the beginning of lifting

Since two hours can barely be sufficient time to finish your run/conditioning, and your lift, in, there are times players are able to return alone to the gym to complete their work. It's not required that players return after their two hours have passed to finish their workout. However, most will do it.

Strength coaches need to be aware of the physical condition that players have returned to and the way they move. When we used to report during the middle of March when players were "out out of condition" because the season was over. With reporting days in the middle of April and more in-depth offseason training the players are more physically fit than they were before.

There are two obstacles in the beginning of lifting. One is a veteran player who has joined a reputable fitness program. The veteran athlete will have his favourite workouts and exercises, and will try to partner with the strength coach to tailor their workouts to what they prefer, or what's appropriate by their bodies.

The second is when there's a new strength staff working to implement their own program. Every player has to learn what that program is and what the goals are. The coaches who are new must be aware of what their athletes can and should not do. This can lead to an awkward beginning.

After the two hours are completed with the strength staff, you have time in the company of your trainers.

This time can only be used in the classroom because coaches aren't allowed on field with players. This is when the head coach welcomes his team back establishes the expectations, and gets the process of team building to begin. The coordinators on both sides the ball begin to install the offense or defense.
