Madden NFL 23 Face of the Franchise |
Madden NFL 23 is coming in the fall, either with or without a football season. EA has begun to list the what that we can expect from the cross-generational version of the Madden NFL franchise. In a blog post EA detailed two primary single-player versions of playing the game of gridiron: Face of the Franchise and Classic Franchise.
"The Face of the Franchise mode is the story-focused mode that lets you make the player you want to manage their development from an exciting high school prospect to an experienced NFL veteran.
The first step is to be a the backup role to your high school's quarterback of the year, and your decisions will affect relationships with your quarterback throughout. After that, you'll attend the college of your choice to make a name for yourself before being chosen at your team in the NFL draft.
From there, your NFL career could take many different stories depending on your performance, starting with "Franchise Savior" in which you're required to help your team get into the Super Bowl, to the down-and-out "Understudy," to a epic injury comeback.
Stories will be told with performance by Tye Sheridan Cooper Andrews, Robert Patrick and Snoop Dogg and Rich Eisen as the actors they are.
The Classic Franchise, by comparison it's what you'd expect. You can join your favorite team and go through the seasons with them. This mode offers minor adjustments and enhancements to enhance the football experience.
The blog specifically discusses the new X-Factor capabilities that will be available to franchises, an extended Wild Card Playoff round, tuned abilities, as well as other tweaks.
